About Free the Bears
Free the Bears is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and protecting bears from illegal wildlife trade, poaching, and exploitation. Since 1997, they’ve rescued over 950 bears across Southeast Asia. Their largest sanctuary is located at Phnom Tamao, just an hour’s drive from Phnom Penh.
